How much is enough?

This is my favorite coaching question. It is often asked as a limiting question and directed toward an individual who has a lot, wants more and never seems satisfied.  On the flip side, I ask the same question to people who are holding back, playing small and hustling to make ends meet.

This is one of many illustrations of how life happens on a continuum.  Things are not usually black and white. There are multiple layers of possibilities between all and nothing. Listening for 2 minutes without interrupting might be enough. Maybe it is enough to smile at a stranger in the grocery store or to donate $5 to your favorite charity. Maybe it is enough to consider what you have learned from a perceived failure and move on to the next thing with new information. We can practice feeling satisfied that a small gesture is enough.

If you are running a business or non-profit, how much product or service you can provide depends on having enough resources. How much time, people, training, money, products, offerings is enough to keep things moving forward? How much do you need to maintain vs. how much you might need to expand or scale up is an important consideration. We can practice feeling satisfied about choosing to pursue more.

Every person reading this has some perception of where they fall on this continuum of how much is enough – financially, emotionally and socially. Do you perceive value based on a dollar amount, a label or an outcome?  It can be different in every situation. What is perceived to be enough seems deeply connected with feeling satisfied.

I’d love to hear what you think about how much is enough and what your animal friends are teaching you about satisfaction. Hit reply and let me know.

Behind the scenes…

Excuses, blame, shame…all energies that I can use to discuss why I don’t manage to have a newsletter. I struggle to keep it simple. This communication has been festering for a full week. I get caught in overthinking and analysis paralysis. I know I’ll make some mistakes and that’s ok.  Doing a little more feels important right now.

I can do more to stay in touch with my community.  I can do more to nurture the connection between animals and humans. I can do more to facilitate awareness of the Divine sparks you have within your heart. With that in mind, here are some updates:

1.      Animal communication sessions continue to be available in 30- or 50-minute time blocks. I’ve been able to hold prices steady, but effective July 1, I’ll be implementing a price change that is enough and also a value that keeps this service accessible compared with others who share my training, experience and years of practice. 30 minutes will be $67 and 50 minutes will be $97.

2.      Soul Coaching™ Oracle card readings and Spirit Animal Wisdom sessions are now booking for a full hour at $137. If you are seeking extra coaching or intuitive guidance for a personal transition, project or opportunity, ask me about packages.

3.      Small groups with the horses are coming in July.  These circles are limited to 4 people and focus on a single topic selected from my training in Heart Centered Virtues. It is an offering to unplug and re-charge with simple self-care in a safe space.  Groups are hosted onsite in Lebanon, Ohio.

4.      A book is coming this fall.  It has been a challenge sorting and prioritizing the concepts and experiences I want to share into a cohesive concept. Our animal friends are here to teach us and lead us to see our own Divine sparks.  This book addresses topics like what our animal friends teach us about how much is enough.  It is an invitation to stay curious and lean into your own understanding, philosophy and earned wisdom from interactions with animals.

Thanks for allowing me to land in your inbox. Reply and let me know if you have any questions, comments or requests.  Looking forward to the adventures waiting in the second half of 2025.

In Joy,

Michelle
